Cocktail night comes around again!

Here we go another Sunday has come at us like a train and it is time to mix up that rum punch. Luckily a guest from last week left us some fresh juice and half a bottle of one barrel so this week it is strong!
Above we have the beautiful Judy and Garry back again to get some well needed R and R this week.
These guys are back as new members of RCI here at Banyan Bay, looking forward to spending Thanksgiving here in Belize.

As you can see from this picture of the Vanderlanns they are here to have a laugh or two and I dread to think what he just suggested was the answer to number 5!

Now after watching this lady we know we are to have our hands full this week with her as she was not shy in getting help with the quiz from others!

Here they are again the Coles and the Hughes minus Mrs Hughes this week so Cindy jumped in to even the photo out.

The lovely Avery family back to stay with us in Grand Colony as RCI owners this week.

He is so not camera shy at all but saying that neither are myself and Cindy, how cute are we all!

Third week in a row and they still never got 8 out of 8, however we have changed the questions!

Time for a nibble, you had to be quick this week and it was all gone in a flash!

This is one lovely family here with us for the week with two very photogenic young girls.
Tina is a familiar face here in San Pedro as she is a family friend of the owner Mr Paz. Tina is here on this trip with her very good friend Rick, who is here for the first of many visits we think. They popped in to add some glamour to the evening before heading out for a romantic dinner.

Day off in paradise-what to do?

We heard that there were a couple of new places on the island up north of the bridge that were worth checking out so Christine and I headed up there to see. Our first stop was actually Sweet Basil to see out friend Jules with the wee Legend who is growing by the day.
Then onto Aji which is in a lovely location about 2.5miles north, so far enough that you need the golf buggie but just at the time when you are fed up with the bumpy road.

As can be seen by this temporary sign they are only open Weds- Sun

The menu looks great and they are serving breakfast through to dinner including a Paella Mixta which I have been told was fab and worth the trip north to try.

This was like heading into the bat cave and so cool with the sink outside as can be seen below.

Charlie found an iguana that kept teasing her
We didn't even stop for a drink, just a recky to suss it out for another day and from what I have seen it would be worth the trip to go and try it out, now onto the next location.

I had been told about the new smoke house a while back and heard how good their food was so we stopped by to pick up their menu and have a look around.
It is right next door to Aji so also with a lovely view over the water and boasts many resident crocodiles!
After seeing this on their specials board I am coming back here for sure, drunken rum cake, did I hear cake!
Toilets were as bright as their menus and very nice so definitely going to head up there another day.

Heading back down south so a few shots of our journey to tease all the people that wished they were here right now, sorry!

Not sure about this shot but trying to be arty, it is a tree by the way!

Very quiet for a Saturday, where is the rush hour traffic?

View from Caliente's new decking where we stopped to see the Vande's for a well deserved cocktail!
Here she is Lori herself
Our very special friend Alex stopped by to say hi and show off his serious haircut and ask me about the family from Michigan, he says hi Rachel.
I am still dog sitting for the wee brown one Wasu so here I am being very popular with the special treats I had in my bag.

Today is actually my good friend Ruth's birthday so of course being the cake queen I was in charge of getting her one. Obviously I had little time to make one so this came from the new restaurant in town called Hummingbird and was pretty good.

It was a windy night so tried to keep the candles alight in the box.
Go on girl we know you have more puff than that!
Like I said a very good friend of mine who also likes cake! Check out her glam hair also done this week by Christine our friend from New Jersey. This is Ruth's first birthday away from friends and family in the UK but she had a great day here in San Pedro with her hubby and 3 children and a fantastic evening with her new friends and a fabbo cake. Check out that sparkly new jewelry set which was her gift from her lot.

A great end to a lovely day off- who's birthday is it next!

Friday night is Pedro night!!

I know Tuesday is Pedro Pizza night however you can generally count on finding a few of the gang in there on a Friday night to round the week off and kick start the weekend! A few faces are missing this week as there was a very spontaneous Thursday night in there of which I will blog later on once the photos have all been censored!
Here we have the Vanderveldes from Colorado who we see for 6 weeks each and every year. They were planning their trip for February whilst sat in the bar and all the parties they plan to throw in Grand Colony-oh lordy help us!

A very familiar and regular face in Pedro's the one and only JD who loves the Vande's as much as I do and tries to get Mr Vande hammered every time he sees them!

This photo is a long time in coming, sorry Rachel finally I remembered and gave him his present from Michigan, as you can see he loved it!

So much so that he gave it a two out of ten if I can read this picture correctly.

Even the dogs love to go to Pedro's and this is a real cutie, the new vets dog Jambo I think his name is. However after watching him do the rounds and eating a lot of leftover pizza she may re-think him coming along with her.

This is Rebecca from Seaduced Adventures and Amanda from Sunrise Reality whom are very good friends of mine and not seen out all the time so a quick shot was needed, sorry Rebecca!

The Captain, Jeff is here to fish and hang out and I have never seen him with a beer before so here you go Barry Bowen some product placement for you!

The lovely Furlotte's and Beth checking out that pizza we talk so much about and the beer of course, we love drinkers!

Well being camera shy I am surprised I got into this one! I had just had my hair done by Christine my very good friend from New Jersey so it was all neat and just right so I wanted to show it off.
This pair again but how can you not love him, our one and only JD a lovable Rogue from the capital city of the world-Edinburgh!!
