Baby shower / Barbeque

Welcome to baby Legend who isn't quite in the picture yet but mom Jewels and Dad Tyler wanted to share their joy about him with a few friends in a so-called baby shower! Now being totally British we celebrate once the baby is here, as in a Christening but when in Rome etc do as the Americans do!

Jewels and Tyler own Sweet Basil the lovely restaurant north of the bridge that does lunch and evening meals, including a spinach and artichoke dip-ummm. They have been here about 8 months and after about a couple of them they found themselves pregnant so this has been a transition in more ways than one.

Being really busy getting Sweet Basil back in the game they hadn't met alot of other people living here on the island so we took this chance to introduce them to some characters JD, Jimjam and Pedro amongst many others! Of course the men hung out in their area, this was a co-ed do, which I now know the meaning of so women in one spot, men near the beer and barbe.
Tyler with his first baby, four legged Jacks, one very lively English sheep dog who had just had a hair cut for the occasion. I know he looks like a teddy bear but this dog is for real.
Jewels loves cake and has a great excuse to indulge right now. This was made by Jennifer from Casa Picassa who is known for her heavenly desserts therefore it was absolutely georgous and tasted like a Cadbury's chocolate orange and was gone in seconds! Did Cindy and Sharon have any???

Sharon and Cindy not indulging in one adult beveridge or eating any of the delights that people had brought as they were all very rich in calories and the competition is on and weigh-in in the morning!

Ok after hearing many oohs and arhhhs over Jen's cake we both had a sliver of a piece and oh my goodness was it worth it. Thanks Jewels and Tyler for creating baby Legend and making it possible to eat cake!

Great Pictures!

Looks like this baby shower was a success. Did you get any of the men to play any baby shower games? Baby shower games are my favorite part of a baby shower. A baby shower bbq is a great idea, did you do that so the men would come? Anyway still looks like you all had a great time.

Wow!! Such a lovely baby shower. Last week I went to my friend’s baby shower arranged at one of New York venues. Her mom really made the day best with her amazing creative decor. I was very happy to enjoy everything amazing there.
