Saga happy helpers day!

Today Saturday 20th Sept, Saga is getting a huge face lift as in a group of fantastic people giving up their time to help and support our very needy shelter in San Pedro. There is to be a new vet at the end of next month and the plan is to get the clinic and her home at first in better shape than it is right now.
These pictures were taken a few days ago during a meeting to see exactly what needs to be done. The one below is a typical day at the shelter where a dog has been brought in off the beach to be checked out, looked after and hopefully adopted.

This is the absolutely fabulous Ingrid who has been the heart and soul of the place for many years and just loves the wee ones.
One of the Marys from the board who is very hands-on with the good and bad and ugly sides of being involved with this shelter.
On the Left is the other Mary off the board, some serious faces as there is a lot to do in a short space of time and as always money is very tight.
This is the reason it is all so worthwhile as this lovely young lady is going to adopt this little beauty. She has been named Buttercup already and is one very lucky dog as there will be lots of food, shelter and love coming her way.
Saga is the Humane Society here in Ambergris Caye, Belize and needs support in every way. If anyone has the time and energy to help physically that is always welcome and financial aid is how it survives so anyone wanting to give a donation can do so online directly to them.
I am sorry that I am not there today to help in person and be a part of a new start for the new vet.
